What I’m reading

Because busy season is relentless, I only had time to read one book over the past month.  I knew this was going to happen, so I decided to re-read my favorite book – 1984 by George Orwell.

If you haven’t read 1984, please go check it out.  It’s not a difficult read and it’s very well written.  Definitely a good use of your time.

  1. If you’re hurting for next reading recs, The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson is an interesting history of currency and finance. The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is great recent fiction.

  2. Those both look good. I think I’ll pick them up.

  3. Incredibly appropriate. Oh wait, you’re not American! 😉

I have thousands of book recs if you are looking for something new… but what’s the verdict on 1984? Did you finish it?

  4. Yeah, if you have books you’d recommend please let me know!

Oh, I dominated it. It’s my favorite – “imagine a boot stomping on a face – forever.” Most powerful line in the book.
