I also passed this year, and I have to admit that I’m amazed you were even able to blog after drinking… I’m in Quebec, so I got the results the night before and still have yet to have the 4 hours of memory gaps filled in. I remember Glenfiddich 30 year, lots of it, a few shots of vodka, and that’s about it. Either way, it’s damn good to be done. That said, the high has worn off, knowing that I’ll have to ass-kiss clients for the rest of my life… I don’t know about you, but I’m considering more designations now to move out of the Auditing game.

Micheal – I know exactly how you feel and I’m in the process of writing about it. Should have the post up by tomorrow night.
And I wrote this post at 6pm after I got back from work. I was a few drinks deep, but still pretty coherent. Haha, I was in no shape to do anything when I got back from the bar that night though.

I share very similar experiences to yours… I was fired by my Big 4 firm in 07, went to work for a medium-sized one, and they began downsizing by letting me walk about 3 months before UFE summer began. I now work in a microscopic firm and love it, but audit is just tedious and boring. There’s no chance to be creative (not unless you want a lengthy jail sentence).
Either way, congrats! I personally feel fortunate, given Quebec’s dismal pass rate (66%) and especially McGill’s (~50%).
